Joining Beth will be singer/songwriters Chelsea Williams and Mark Turnbull.
Mark Turnbull- Grammy-nominated songwriter Mark Turnbull started his performing career at the age of 5 on the Jimmy Durante Show and hasn't looked back. His first album (1968) for Reprise Records "Portrait of the Young Artist" was a Billboard pick, and Turnbull was listed in F.M. & Fine Arts magazine (along with Randy Newman, Laura Nyro and Bob Dylan) as one of the finest songwriters of the era. His forays into the theater have produced original musicals (his "Tales of Fannie Keenan, Better Known as Dora Hand" represented the United States in the Olympic Theater Festival in the 1984 Olympics); a DramaLogue Award for musical direction (for the musical play "Quilters" which won the national AACT competition and went on to represent the U.S. in an international drama competition in Dundalk Ireland); his solo show Mark Turnbull and Friends—a One Man Show, produced in both Orange County and Los Angeles, was hailed by the Los Angeles Times as the work of "...a genuine artist ...with nearly two dozen songs, all of them worth hearing, many worth treasuring." The Times also named the show as "Best One Man Show for 1994." And, well, so much more...
Resolute loneliness has never sounded this desirable.” hails Rolling Stone.
Critically acclaimed independent musician Chelsea Williams released her latest record "Beautiful and Strange" in May of 2020. Rolling Stone wrote, “Her dreamy, glinting tunes anchored by introspective, heart-worn lyrics are a combination of Americana, indie-folk, and lush pop. They create a transcendent listening experience that will place the young singer-songwriter front and center among the preeminent performers of the day.”
Whether Williams is the music industry’s best- or worst-kept-secret is open to debate. Sure, she’s performed on The Today Show and has opened for big names such as The Avett Brothers, Dwight Yoakam, and Marc Cohn. You can even catch her on the radio. Her recent record “Beautiful and Strange” was featured on NPR’s All Songs Considered as well as on Chris Doritas’ NPR music show Eclectic 24. But Chelsea’s favorite stage is busking on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade where she has been a staple for the last 10 years. “I’ll never stop busking. When I’m playing on the street it feels like the truest, most untarnished version of my heart and soul”
